Another good way to keep you motivated is to encourage others. You want to get people, as mentors, who are already on the road that you are looking for. Encouragement of a mentor or an authority figure can go a long ways in helping you success in your life. Whether it's your personal life or work life, having a mentor is something that I highly recommend it. Even if you pay for mentor must, should always be your one that you can consult.
Many athletes use this skill to stay motivated to stay on track. Lou Holtz is a former Notre Dame Football coach, who has a very good coach during his day. Many of his previous athletes and students have told stories of how he's a great motivator for them was. He would encourage all of his athletes to do their very best all the time. If they were slacking off, Lou definitely let you know. He did not put up with all the crap of one of his players. He also let them know how proud he was and how good of a job they were to do so. Of course, This caused his players to encouragement and praise of him. They wanted to do a good job for himself, for him, and for the team. He was a mentor to his athletes.
Phil Jackson is another great example. He has successfully most NBA titles that a coach has ever gotten. He has done it with two different NBA basketball teams. Although it is true that his teams had a lot of talent when he to his players, there is much more behind a great team. You must be a great coach who will bring together all players and help them get the same purpose that they are all after. Phil Jackson did just that and continues to do so to this day. He even considered from afar coaching with the LA Lakers, that is something that has never been done before.
The message is the same, regardless of what the story. First you have to realize that you have more than you think you can do. Encouragement is just a tool which allows you to stay motivated and really perform to your maximum potential. Encouragement will help you to do more than you could buy yourself. Once you understand encouragement and how it works, make sure you return the favor to others who are trying to make their lives better. Helping people must be the cornerstone in life no matter what you do.
