Einstein, Visualization, and Your Career

Loading ... Loading ...Read Summary

One of the little-known facts about Albert Einstein is that he attended a school that followed the teaching methods of the Swiss educator Johann Pestalozzi.  Pestalozzi schools taught children in what was known as the Pestalozzi Method (the “Method”).  Under the Method, it was believed that instead of dealing with words, children should learn through activity and objects. They should be free to pursue their own interests and reach their own conclusions. Much of Pestalozzi’s teaching methods can be found in a book he published in 1801 called How Gertrude Teaches Her Children. In this book, he discusses the importance of spontaneity and allowing children to arrive at answers themselves. Visualization was a major component in this method.  Pestalozzi believed that visualization was among the mind’s most powerful features and that imagery was where all knowledge started.

The school environment created by Pestalozzi’s method of eduction created the perfect environment for Einstein to develop as he did. According to a biography of Einstein, Einstein: His Life and Universe:

It [Aarau] was a perfect school for Einstein. The teaching was based on the philosophy of a Swiss educational reformer of the early nineteenth century, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, who believed in encouraging students to visualize images. . . . The visual understanding of concepts, as stressed by Pestalozzi and his followers in Aarau, became a significant aspect of Einstein’s genius. “Visual understanding is the essential and only true means of teaching how to judge things correctly,” Pestalozzi wrote, and “the learning of numbers and language must be definitely subordinated.”

Given his early learning, it is no surprise that Einstein used visualization throughout his life. At age 16, Einstein used visualization when he discovered that the speed of light was always constant. Einstein believed that visual understanding was the most important form of education and more important than knowledge. Later in life Einstein would write:

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination circles the world.

Arguably the most important skill any of us can master is creative visualization. Visualizing events and outcomes before they occur is an incredibly valuable skill. Consider this quote from Arnold Schwarzenegger:

When I was very young, I visualized myself being and having what it was I wanted. Mentally I never had any doubts about it. The mind is really so incredible. Before I won my first Mr. Universe, I walked around the tournament like I owned it. The title was already mine. I had won it so many times in my mind that there was no doubt I would win it. Then, when I moved on to the movies, the same thing. I visualized myself being a successful actor and earning big money. I could feel and taste success. I just knew it would all happen.

Creative visualization is the art of creating pictures in your mind of something you would like to happen in the future. This is not a special skill that needs to be developed by people; it is just something that we need to use. What you need to be able to do is to visualize positive events and outcomes.

Instead of visualizing negative outcomes and approaching life from a position of negativity, there is a tremendous amount of strength and power you can get from visualizing positive as opposed to negative results. The thoughts you have, create the reality that you experience. An incredible number of studies have confirmed the power of positive thoughts and visualization to create unbelievable results for people.

In the late 1960s research by radiation oncologist O. Carl Simton and his wife, psychologist Stephanie Simton, discovered that cancer patients who used imagery and visualization to stimulate an immune response lived longer than those who did not.In the August 2002 issue of the Journal of Psychology and Social Psychology, it was reported that older people who viewed aging as a positive asset lived seven and a half years longer than those who had a negative view of aging.

The idea that someone can live longer by simply viewing aging in a positive way is astonishing to me. I am surprised that this is not spoken about more. For example, we all know that people who quit smoking can live a few years longer; we also know that eating a certain way can enhance our life span. Why is it that no one speaks of the value of our state of mind in influencing our life span?

How we feel is based on what we focus on. When you focus on the negative, you are likely to feel negative. When you focus on the positive, you are likely to feel positive. We do not experience reality–we experience our representation of reality. How we feel is based on what we focus on.

Your success in your current job, your success in your job search, and more will be determined by the things you focus on. Focus on the positive and the results you want to achieve.

Visualization and your business

One of the most common questions I receive from an online or if I with friends is "How could you your business to grow such a fast pace"? There are a few things which I have attributed to my success, but the only thing I believed that me on the "fast track" was the put the power of visualization.

As you think would be the response, it is at this point that I filled with confusion.I knew that they were probably looking to hear from a kind of secret marketing tip or new business opportunities, and if they don't hear, they think that I'm secretive or shortly. nothing could be further from the truth, or anyone believe it or not, one of the most powerful things I ever did for my company was aware of my thoughts and visualize what I wanted.

"If you do not know where you're going, how do you know when you there?"

This is a aphorism that I live and so should you. people of different faiths, cultures and ways of thinking have unique reasons why visualization is so effective in attracting what we want. some people write the metaphysics, spirituality, science, or even just as a coincidence. the most important part is no more than think why it works, but get in your head that it works.

So with that said, what did I do to visualize or to draw of the blessing my life.?

The first thing I did was buy so many seminars, audio books, ebooks, etc. on the subject as possible.

-The science of getting rich by Wallace D Wattles
-Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
-Science of the Mind by Ernest Holmes
-The secret Rhonda Byrne
-You were born Rich by Bob Proctor
-The Aladdin factor by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen

These books are just scratching the surface of what I've been studying, but I highly recommend this if you just started.

The next thing that you need to do is take a notecard and write exactly what you want to do your life in the present time.

For example, I would write "I love my new black 7 series BMW." ...instead of "a day driving, I hope that a BMW" claim what you want in the present, and believe that you have now.Take the time to write the instructions and when you put it in your wallet and read it at least twice a day.Not just limited to include your finances, your health, family, relationships or whatever that is close to your heart is.

Do not skip this step and say "Oh, I already know what I want. be aware of the fact that will really make a difference."The Act of writing down your dreams makes it not just a distant thought to reality.Remember to BE specific!

Then to build a vision Board for yourself. a good example of this was in the movie the secret, when John Assaraf described the construction of a vision board filled with cut outs of the things that he wanted to live, specifically his dream house. every day for a few minutes he would look at his vision Board, closes his eyes and visualize what he already had (else) he willed. years while the vision Board appears to his son, he realized that he lived in his very dream home. RIGHT at home.

This consists simply of the cutting of images and words that resonate with you and inspires you. So cut the picture of the car you've always wanted to, the House that you want, the relationship that you want to. limit yourself. take your time and enjoy the process. Once you're done, will depend on your vision Board somewhere you can see it everyday, and John Assaraf. a few minutes every day, and visualizing you already have what you want. easy!

When you have a large enough reason why you want to succeed in your business, will not be able to stop.

These are just a few exercises that you can start today to make use of the things you want. I strongly recommend once again to read the books that I mentioned above that you do not, I promise that you won't be disappointed.

How To Use Visualization To Get What You Want!

How To Use Visualization To Get What You Want!

Visualization is one of the most important principles found in Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, Wallace D. Wattle’s Science of Getting Rich, Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret and The Law of Attraction. These books have been hugely successful and rightly so. They have changed the lives of millions, and created thousands of millionaires, who to this day have advocated that Think and Grow Rich or the Science of Getting Rich has made them achieved their goals!

The Main Principle of Law of Attraction

The principle behind the Law of Attraction is that like things always attract other like things. For example positive energy will always attract positive energy. As our minds are a marvellous organ, it is capable of formulating thoughts and energy that will influence the Universe to bring about what it is that we want. However it is not magic, our thoughts only get things started, and it is through our action and awareness that we bring the results into fruition.

Of course there are many in the Scientific Community and sceptics who argue against the Law of Attraction claiming that there is no scientific basis behind it, and attribute it to a placebo type effect. I would like to stress out that not being able to test it does not mean the effects are not present. For the millions of people around the world who had used the system and obtained the results, that is all that it matters. At the end of the day, it is the results that count!

How To Use Visualization

Before you begin Visualization, it is important that you already know what you want, and have a clear goal in mind. If your Visualization becomes muddled the results also become muddled. So before you begin write down exactly what it is that you wish to achieve, and when do you want to achieve it by. Use specific and achievable goals!

The use of Visualization is simple and it is best practiced early in the day and late at night, just before you go to sleep. Take a few deep breaths before you begin, to relax your mind and body. It is your choice whether you lie down on your bed or sit down some where comfortable.

Visualize in you mind how you are living the life you want to live. Imagine exactly the house you will live in when you have achieved your goal, what it feels like, smells like and looks like. Utilise all your senses as you picture in your head the life you want and have achieved. Hold it clearly in your mind. Feel the emotions whelm up in your body as you are living your dream life, the happiness and the gratitude you feel towards getting everything you want.

If you can’t see yourself clearly yet, then picture a person or even a movie scene and play that scene in your head. Imagine what they are feeling, what it smells like and what emotions are being surfaced. When you can clearly see who it is, replace the star with your face. Look carefully at the person and you can see that it is you. Take that scene and play it over and over again with you being the movie star!
